Some patients need only one or two dental implants, while others are completely edentulous (missing all teeth). As with other well-known implant-supported denture options, zygoma implants can support a full arch of prosthetic teeth on just four screws without bone grafting.
This procedure provides an immeasurable enhancement to a person's quality of life, allowing them to chew, bite, eat, and smile as they used to once again.

Normally, implants are placed in the maxilla to replace missing teeth in the upper jaw. However, some patients have such severe bone loss that there isn't enough to place an implant safely. In this case, longer implant screws can be used to reach the cheekbones, which are used as an anchor instead.
Zygomatic dental implants are sometimes called "rescue implants" because they can help patients achieve a fully functional bite and aesthetically pleasing smile when bone grafting isn't possible.
Without regular stimulation from chewing and biting, jawbone loss (resorption) occurs. We frequently see significant bone loss in patients who have been using dentures for many years. Unfortunately, patients with maxilla resorption are often told that there is no hope for bone grafting or dental implants. However, this is not always the case.
